The National K-9 School for Dog Trainers is granted the authority to issue professional certification by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools. Upon completion of a National K-9 course, graduates are authorized by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools to use the title "Certified Professional Trainer" or letters "CPT" after their name. National K-9 is one of only two schools in the United States authorized to grant professional certification to dog trainers.
